My Path to Healing

From a young age, I understood that life is a series of adventures, brimming with hidden possibilities. I felt a deep connection to the world around me—people, emotions, animals, and nature—protected by an unseen force. My journey began early; I left home, raised children, and built a career in public service. I was drawn to people in need of healing, fascinated by their stories and struggles.

In 1982, during my second pregnancy, my interest in psychic development was sparked by a profoundly accurate reading with an 82-year-old woman from the Italian/American community. Nearly blind, she used an ordinary deck of cards and was renowned for her visions. Her insights stayed with me, and nearly a decade later, I felt compelled to explore my intuitive abilities through psychic and tarot classes and other healing practices.

Throughout my career as an International Corporate Recruiter, these interests ebbed and flowed, but in 2021, I discovered Reiki—a discovery that transformed my life. At the time, I was in a period of frustration and uncertainty, common during times of growth and change. I was deeply unhappy and stressed until an email from a local yoga studio advertising a Thanksgiving Reiki session caught my attention.

The session, led by Reiki Master Practitioner Kathy Rule, was the glimmer of light I desperately needed. It led me to book an individual session with her, which proved to be transformative. Reiki brought peace, release, and healing on a level I hadn’t anticipated. I soon knew I had to train in Reiki, not just for my own self-healing, but to share its benefits with others. The journey brought profound peace—not only for myself but for those around me.

I went on to achieve certifications in Reiki I, Reiki II, Master, and Animal Reiki Training. Fittingly, my first client was a dog, as I often find myself working with both animals and their caregivers, whose energies are deeply intertwined. Sharing Reiki has been a soul-stirring and rewarding experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a more peaceful world.
